Facilities

The Junior Common Room (JCR) is a spacious and comfortable area equipped with amenities such as a large bar, television, pool tables, and vending machines.

The bar is open Monday to Saturday 18:30 – 23:30 during term time.

Meals in hall are paid for using your University Card, via the Upay system.

Meal times for 1st to 8th week are as follows:

Breakfast
Monday to Saturday, 08:15 – 08:45 Booking required at least 24 hours before the meal time.

Lunch
Monday to Sunday, 13:00 – 13:45 Booking required at least 24 hours before the meal time.

Dinner
Scaf (though the servery, no booking required) Monday to Friday, 18:00 – 18:45 Saturday Dinner (booking required 24hrs in advance), 18:00 – 18:45

Formal Dinner
Monday to Friday, 19:00 Booking required at least 24 hours before the meal time, bookable under the events tab in Upay.

St Catherine’s also has its own on-site gym with squash courts and an on-site punt house as well as rugby and football pitches, tennis courts, and a rowing boathouse. The gym, squash courts and punts can be booked via the college booking system.

Vacation
The library maintains term-time hours with the exception of Christmas and Easter closure periods. Any changes to this will be posted on the library door, website, and social media page.

A small purpose-built recital room with two grand pianos and a harpsichord, which doubles as a practice-room for College. Slots can be booked through the booking system; there are also slots reserved every day for use by music students.
