If someone requires immediate medical attention:

If you or someone else requires an ambulance and have called 999, call or visit the Porter’s Lodge (01865 271700) to notify them so that they can direct the ambulance.

If you have an emergency but are not in college, you can call the University Security Services (01865 289999 – number on the back of your bod card). They can call an ambulance/the police or send a patrol.

Dean

The Dean, Professor Susie Speller (dean@stcatz.ox.ac.uk), oversees student welfare and discipline.

Junior Deans

The Dean is assisted by resident Junior Deans, who can also often act as a first line of communication between the students and the Dean, and who are fully qualified to advise on personal welfare matters.

Dentist 

Dental provision for the University of Oxford is undertaken by Studental (Tel: 01865 689997). A full range of NHS treatments is available at Studental (with the exception of Orthodontics), and student members are charged NHS rates. Further details are available from the College Nurse’s surgery.

Emergency out-of-hours dental treatment

In addition, emergency out-of-hours dental advice and treatment is available by telephoning 111 during the following times:

Monday – Thursday 18:30 – 21:30

Saturday – Sunday 9:00 – 18:00

Bank Holidays & Bank Holiday Weekends 9:00 – 17:00 / 18:00 – 21:00

Harassment

If you have been a victim of harassment in work/study environments in Oxford, you can speak to one of the college harassment advisors: Christoph Reisinger (he/him) (christoph.reisinger@maths.ox.ac.uk) or Gaia Scerif (she/her) (gaia.scerif@psy.ox.ac.uk). To read more about the college’s harassment policy, see the Anti-Harassment and Bullying Policy. If you don’t want to contact someone in college about your experience, see the harassment advisor network (email caseadvice@admin.ox.ac.uk) or contact the university harassment line directly (harassment.line@admin.ox.ac.uk or call 01865 270760). Discrimination

Criminal Offence

You are encouraged to report the crime to Thames Valley Police. If this is not appropriate please contact the Dean, Junior Dean, or Welfare Reps.

If you want to report a sexual assault case within the college, speak to one of the Junior Deans (juniordean@stcatz.ox.ac.uk) who will put you in touch with the Dean and offer you support. You can also contact the Dean directly (dean@stcatz.ox.ac.uk).

If you want to report a sexual harassment case, you can still contact a Junior Dean or the Dean, but you can also speak to the harassment advisors (see above) about this.
